Job Purpose :
Assist the HSE Manager to implement and maintain the HSE management system on the project sites and perform risk assessment to identify workplace and task hazards
Duties & Responsibilities :
  • Manage Occupational Safety & Health Management System According to OSHA 18001 and WSH
    • Development, Implement and review policies, protocol, objectives, plans and programs (workplace & risk) in compliance to legal requirements, WHS and ISO lead in conducting inspection, hazards analysis, risk assessment and rectify gaps
    • Identify cost associated with WSH risks
    • Manage site risk control measures
  • Lead in Conducting Checks & Investigate WSH incidents
    • Inspect machinery, equipment, working conditions, buildings and facilities, storage of flammable/ combustible materials, working areas for hazards, noise and toxic as per statutory requirement i.e. project risk assessment to ensure compliance to statutory requirement
    • Reports all safety discrepancies observed to the Safety Manager and recommends corrective problem to ensure compliance to statutory requirements
    • Establish parameters for WSH performance measurements
    • Develop & implement WSH inspection program  for workplace conditions and practices and advise stakeholders on WSH hazard sampling
    • Develop, implement and review WSH incident investigation and analysis processes
    • Respond to WSH incidents by identifying incident causes, recommend corrective and preventive measures and management reporting
    • Develop, implement and evaluate emergency preparedness and response plans
    • Manage maintenance of emergency response  equipment and plans
  • Lead in Performing Internal & External Auditing (ISO 18001 & WSH)
    • Capture and measure necessary field data/ information for evidence
    • Assist to conduct internal and external audits, and its report and closure of findings
    • Assist in renewal of certification via external auditing committee
    • Propose appropriate solutions and corrective action to address audits points
  • Manage Effective Communication & Engagement at the Workplace
    • Lead workplace/ site communications and negotiations
    • Advise, inform and update stakeholders about WSH legal & other requirement
  • Oversee Safety and Health Education, Advocate H&S Culture & System Integration
    • Educate workers on workplace safety and health policies, procedures and programmers
    • Develop, implement and maintain Behavioral Safety Programmer
    • Develop and maintain an H&S culture by advocating and communicating H&S and compliance on a company-wide level by conducting Employee Safety Briefing (ESB) / safety induction for new hires and visitors.
    • Minimize WSH violations and errors by individuals by conduct safety meetings for workers for safety process improvement to increase safety awareness and commitment of workers
    • To organize and conduct basic regular fire drills for project sites.
    • Integrate various management systems to ensure a seamless flow of operating standards in synch with ISO 9001 and WSH standards.
Qualifications :
  • Specialist Diploma in WSH
  • OPSIC course for supervisors
  • Minimum 5 years relevant supervisory experience in workplace safety
  • Internal auditing
  • In-depth knowledge on ISO and OSHA safety standard
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Occupational/Industrial First Aid
  • Excellent written and verbal communication ability in English and Indonesia
  • Team oriented, attentive to details, ability to work under pressure of frequent short deadlines
  • Willing to travel / relocate to other state and country
