Job Description
  • Managing the Quality Department with 40 team member  (direct/non direct)
  • Interpretation and approval of analytical and microbiological results assuring all product shipments meet high customer requirements
  • Ensuring the development of team members and providing quality and food safety trainings within the organization to ensure up-to-date knowledge
  • Developing and maintaining the ISO 17025 accredited laboratory management system and other management systems for food safety and quality, including methods, procedures, and materials
  • Responsible for laboratory automation, instrumentation, data analysis and -management
  • Contributing to production and process optimization projects together with colleagues from Production, Quality and Product & Process Development
  • Accountable for coordination of audit program, both internal and external, with customers, suppliers, certifying bodies and authorities
  • Reporting to Quality & Technical Director.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology or comparable
  • Several years of senior relevant working experience in the chocolate industry, experience in leading a QC laboratory and/or knowledge of microbiology is an advantage
  • Up-to-date knowledge on quality systems in production (FSSC 22000) and laboratories ( ISO 17025)
  • Excellent leadership skills and a drive to develop individuals as well as building teams
  • Sound communication and influencing skills at all levels in international business environment in English
  • Personal skills: team player, convincing, approachable, problem solving skills, hands on mentality, result driven and business acumen.

Officially opened on January 29,2002 by the Netherlands’s Minister of Trade and Foreign Affairs, Mr. Gerrit Ybema and The National Minister of Economics for The Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Dorodjatun Koentjoro-Jakti, BT COCOA on September 2002 was certified with USD 9001:2000 from Singapore’s AJA ( Anglo Japanese American ) UKAS for the Quality Management System and now in progress for HACCP and GMP. Our product range continues to grow. We produce the finest quality cocoa powder, cocoa cake, cocoa liquor and cocoa butter. These products are specially formulated to meet the customer’s sense of taste, aroma , color , texture, and overall quality expectations Our main market is current-ly centered in Europe and The United States. Regular customers include wellknown international companies such as Cargill, Unicom Internatio- nal B.V., EDF & Man, Theobroma, ICBT, Westermann, ADM, Beow Guan, General Cocoa, Atlantic Cocoa, ECOM, Olam Food, etc. Our market also world wide spreads to China, India, Pakistan, Brazil, Middle East, Malaysia, Singapore, etc.With a focus on expansion, our Business Model continues to evolve.
