Barista Supervisor



    The Barista Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all customers have the highest quality food and beverage experience possible while supervising the team of baristas on-duty by providing exceptional barista skills to include; Provides customers with prompt, quality coffee selection, purchase, and preparation. S/he ensures customers and employees will experience a friendly, upbeat and clean atmosphere.
    Responsibilities and Requirements:
    • 4 years experience as a Barista Supervisor or in the same field
    • Prepared and maintain staff schedule
    • Must also possess strong written communications skills so that you can effectively communicate with the staff, managers and vendors
    • Greets all customers with a friendly tone and smile and Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.
    • Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering questions.
    • Be energetic and helpful
    • Operation of point of sale system
    • Be a team player and take direction from the Manager
    • Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar.
    • Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
    • Ensuring cleanliness and inventory of the bar station.
    • Required to complete tasks which involve physical activity including lifting, bending, walking and standing for long periods of time.
    • English is a Must

    Caswell’s installed a rotary drum roaster in their newest store in Ampera, South Jakarta and experimented with traditional roasting techniques, explored the complex flavors intrinsic to different Arabica beans and blending to create our unique coffees and signature blends. In 2003, Caswell’s Coffee had also installed another rotary drum roaster in their outlet at Jimbaran, Bali.
    One of the stores which located in Jalan Ampera Raya, South Jakarta becomes one stop coffee spot for those who love coffee. It has Caswell's Coffee Lab, Roastery and Coffee and Machine Store provides the ideal place to learn about and taste different coffees from around the world. Caswell's Coffee is proud to continue its ongoing support for Indonesia's specialty coffee industry. Now having been successfully certified as a SCAA Campus, Caswell’s (Jakarta) is licensed to host both internationally recognised, SCAA Pathway Programs and also the Q Grader Certification Course designed by Coffee Quality Institute (CQI). As well as Basic Trainings such as Barista Training, Cupping, and Pre-Q Course.

    The second critical component to produce great coffee is the Espresso Machine. One made of high quality materials which controls, water temperature and pressure for the optimum espresso extraction constantly in a commercial operation.
    Caswell’s has been the sole distributor of the Italian made, Rancilio machines and worked closely with Rancilio headquarters to drive the sales of Rancilio’s semi-automatic and Egro super automatic machines in Indonesia.
