Job Descriptions:

  • Supervising the work of the Cooks and Dishwasher
  • Run and maintain various sections in the kitchen
  • Ensure high standards of food preparation, quality and consistency
  • Follow proper Kitchen Standard Operating Procedures
  • Demonstrate appropriate mise-en-place, stock rotations and portion control
  • Train and supervise junior staff; Line Cook, Prep Cook, Butcher and Dishwasher
  • To monitor stock movement and be responsible for ordering on your section
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene and safety
  • Ensure day to day operations function efficiently and smoothly
  • Conducting frequent check in the kitchen regards to storage and cleanliness
  • Reporting to Chef in-charge any discrepancies or misconduct within or outside kitchen area
  • Ensuring quality of both raw and prepared food conform to the standard set by the Restaurant / Company
  • To undertake any other duties assigned by the Chef in-charge
  • To ensure minimum kitchen wastage.
  • To ensure knowledge of the product is maintained and communicated to all relevant personnel
  • To learn and record skills and recipes from other members of the department
  • To report any maintenance issues to the Head Chef immediately
  • To comply with all Company policies and procedures to ensure that all statutory regulations are observed
  • To liaise with the Head Chef / Sous Chef and implement new menu / dishes / systems where applicable
  • To ensure all statutory regulations are adhered to, such as food hygiene policies.
  • To be flexible and willing to help the restaurant kitchen at busy times if required.
  • Perform any other duties specified by Head Chef


  • Maximum age 30 years old
  • Experienced in the field at least 1 years and above
  • Good communication skill to internal and external customers
  • Must be on feet for most of the working hours and able to adapt to a fast pace environment
  • Accountable and resilient
  • Committed to delivering a high level of customer service
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Proficient in handling administration and paperwork
  • Willing to work on weekends, public holiday and overtime
  • Pleasant, neat and presentable at all times
