Key responsibilities:

Reporting to the Regional Manager Southeast Asia, you will be responsible in developing and managing

Jetstar's selling channels in Indonesia. You will also work with retail and online agents, wholesalers, consolidators and TMCs, corporate and SMEs. In addition, you will support the broader Jetstar Commercial objectives and supply local market knowledge and, as required, representations in the areas of competitive intelligence, network opportunities, payments, new distribution channels, and government and tourism board relations.

The overall focus of the role is on

  • Identifying and executing a suitable sales and distribution strategy in Indonesia
  • tracking agency and corporate/government sales and developing effective and efficient trade relations
  • Identifying opportunities to profitably grow revenues and reduce cost
  • Manage existing relationships and grow new relationships to support growth
  • Management of employees and contractors based in Indonesia and coordinate with Head Office and Regional Office on services required to achieve the focus of the role

To be qualified for this role, you need to have:

  • Broad experience and knowledge in a field sales and marketing or business development role
  • Proven sales skills with an extensive knowledge of corporate procedures and systems ideally within the travel industry with a proven network of corporate contacts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Customer service driven, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish sound working relationships with client organizations
  • Collaborative and good business acumen and negotiating skills
  • Well-developed numerical, analytical and computer skills
  • Ability to exercise leadership and initiative and work with a broad range of people across multiple disciplines
  • Airline commercial experience will be an advantage
