Actuarial Pricing - Assistant Manager



    Assist Pricing Lead with Pricing Team Functions including:
    1. Product Pricing
    • Liaise with the Syariah and Product Development to understand the product requirements and priorities products for development
    •  Initial assessment of risk vs. return/sales of any product ideas
    • Assist in product conceptualization and design
    • Prepare full product specification and communicate product features to other departments
    • Pricing and profit testing
    • Work closely with the different departments in preparing
      • actuarial certificates
      • launch packs
      • quotations and quick quotes
      • rate premium
      • policy documents/wordings, etc
    • Study the feasibility of any regional product initiatives and help implementation
    • Contribute to PLA’s product strategy and planning
    2. Product Maintenance
    • Review the competitiveness of existing products
    • Answering technical queries/request on products
    • Assess feasibility and profitability of Project Approval Requests from distribution channels
    3. Reinsurance management
    • Negotiating with reinsurers on new and existing products and treaties
    • Obtaining reassurance rates and terms most beneficial to PLA
    • Coordinating signing of reinsurance treaties
    • Make sure day to day reinsurance process as stated in RAMS is implemented
    4. Market Research & Intelligence
    • Competitors analysis
    • Actively involve in any market research/agency focus group to get product ideas/feedback
    • Help identify target market/segment (including determining) and exploit opportunity for sales/cross sale.
      Job Requirements:
    • 4 years experience in actuarial
    • Pursuing actuarial qualifications: Near -Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries of Indonesia – ASAI or FSAI
    • Have insurance product knowledge
    • Good knowledge in Actuarial modeling (including Prophet)
    • Good knowledge in MOF regulations and reporting requirements
    • Good knowledge in Achieved Profit reporting
    • Good knoledge in RBC solvency
    • Leadership and people management capability
    • Able to provide effective coaching and development for team members
    • Broad business sense and understanding
    • Experience of operating in Life Insurance business
    • Strong analytical skills to understand financial statements and reports
    • Effective communicator (oral and written) and negotiator
