Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a market leading food and beverages company. Our respected client is seeking a professional with at least 10 years’ of exposure in sales, distribution, and trading, preferably in desserts (ice cream and yoghurt), for the job of General Manager, to be based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
 
Job summary
 
The General manager is responsible for distributing and opening new channels for the Company’s product. The winning candidate must have experience in product distribution for modern retail markets (Carrefour, Indomart, Alfamart, etc). The successful job applicant must possess the motivation and mind-set of an entrepreneur, with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
 
Key responsibilities will include:
 
  • Manage channelling and distribution of new product to modern retail market
  • Develop strategy and timeline of new product release
  • Create and maintain sales and distribution of new product
  • Find and open new channel and market for product distribution
  • Negotiation for terms and condition
  • Coordination and contacting market partners
  • Continuous development of product, including its selling target, distribution in the market, and trading
  • Maintain the stability and development of the product after launching
  • Maintain relationship with existing and potential partners
  • Create (if necessary) and lead sales and distribution team
 
Job Requirements
 
  • Degree, Master’s preferred
  • At least 10 years of experience in F&B FMCG for distribution, sales, and trading in modern retail market (Carrefour, Indomart, Alfamart, etc), product development, distribution channel development
  • Entrepreneur spirit
  • Highly motivated, communicative, good work ethic
  • Result oriented
  • Good leadership skills
  • Innovative and creative
  • Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work with a team
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
