We have been retained by a multinational packaging company to recruit a business development manager.In 2015, the Company generated revenue of approximately USD 7.0 billion by helping our customers achieve their sustainability goals in the face of today’s biggest social and environmental challenges. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accountable for new business development across SE Asia for Fluid Packaging and Food Service sectors
  • To work with the regional,  cluster and country teams to create a business development strategy for the sectors mentioned above
  • Perform white spot prospecting with local country team to identification of potential packaging opportunities and develop a high quality prospect database
  • Wherever needed, collaborate with the respective sector, application development and key accounts teams to generate new business for the sectors assigned
  • Work with the regional sector teams to identify and develop relevant value propositions for the customers
  • Continuously focus on sales growth execution and sales target achievement through new account research and acquisition planning, leveraging sector expertise and local intelligence.
  • Lead account analysis, preliminary proposal, testing and rollout     

REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience: 

  • A degree from a certified University or College in microbiology, food science, chemistry, engineering, or degree relevant for this role.  Master’s or advance degree desired but not essential
  • Minimum 5 years of successful commercial experience in B2B environment – candidates with an experience of selling to FMCG (including food & beverage) industries are desired
  • Demonstrated success in direct value selling role with increasing levels of responsibility.  Experience in field sales, customer marketing, and/or category management in addition to knowledge of working with key or strategic accounts.
  • Travel requirement approximately 50%. Overnight and international travel will be required in this role
  • Good command over English language, both spoken and written
  • Ability to operate across geographical boundaries, within South East Asia
  • A positive attitude towards new challenges, must be willing to stretch and strive
  • Self-starter with the confidence to take risk, partner with business leaders as required, lead change, and work transparently with all stakeholders
  • High sense of drive and urgency
  • Experienced in planning and executing projects  proven problem solving capabilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in managing time with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently as well as thrive in a cooperative work environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
