    DESKRIPSI PEKERJAAN Position Summary The   position will focus on developing and implementing Greenpeace’s forest campaign work in Indonesia, in support of the goals of the Global and National Forest Campaign Project, as well as consistent to the objectives of Greenpeace Southeast Asia’s Forest campaign. The Forest campaigner will also assist where directed and working towards the goals of the international forest campaign within the framework of Greenpeace’s overall objectives. The Forest Campaigner is responsible for developing and delivering Greenpeace Southeast Asia Forest campaign goals as well as for furthering our Campaign objectives. The position is part of Greenpeace’s Campaign Department and reports to the Forest Team Leader.   This is a full time job, based in Jakarta Key Duties 1. Policy Research, Analysis and Input Lead the policy research and analysis to input in the implementation of the political, strategic and legislative components of campaign projects in Indonesia, including through the development of strategic political roadmaps for the campaigns. Assist the development of policies on relevant issues to ensure that Greenpeace can respond effectively to new opportunities and influence the development and implementation of domestic environmental legislation to meet agreed campaign objectives. 2. Representation Represent Greenpeace in regional and international political and/or business for a on specific issues in order to ensure that the objectives, recommendations and submissions of Greenpeace are effectively presented and adopted in accordance with strategic campaign and organizational objectives. 3. Networking Develop and maintain extensive contacts and relationships with relevant political and business bodies and other NGOs in Indonesia in order to build effective networks and partnerships that promote Greenpeace campaign and organizational objectives. 4. Campaign Liaison Work with campaigners, Project Leaders, regional political advisor and/or Unit Heads to advise, develop policies, support and provide strategic thinking on Greenpeace campaign projects or issues, highlighting potential national and regional political opportunities and identifying which political bodies and/or businesses most need to be influenced to meet organizational and campaign objectives in Indonesia. 5. Communication Prepare substantive briefings, updates, and talking points with the campaign and communications officers concerned to ensure the consistent external communication of issues. Represent Greenpeace in all forms of media, both proactively and reactively. 6. Non-Violent Direct Action (NVDA) Proactively contribute to the development and implementation of innovative strategies for NVDA on land and sea, in cooperation with NROs and other international units, and in accordance with Greenpeace principles, in order to maximize impact in achieving agreed campaign, political and business objectives.   Level of Education:   Bachelor Degree with field of Study International political or business sciences or law Work Experience:   Minimum of five years proven expertise and knowledge in lobbying and influencing Indonesian legislation and experience in high level political negotiations within Indonesia both at a central and provincial governmental level Minimum of five years proven expertise in understanding Indonesian policy and legislation, analyzing policy and legislative development and delivering recommendations and/or criticisms in a timely and accurate manner Experience in actively participating in, and shaping delegations at national, regional and international meetings

    DESKRIPSI PEKERJAAN Objective Climate & Energy Researcher   The primary responsibility is ensuring the research for climate and energy campaign in Indonesia is effectively delivered on time and on budget (including but not limited to performing direct research occasionally). The initial and primary focus for this work will be on the delivery of researches focusing on Indonesia energy issues. The position will also requires- and upon agreement, the coordination and implementation of other complimentary researches. This person will lead the acquisition project, organization and market analysis (chain of custody), actions and mapping researches in line with the requirements of Greenpeace’s campaign programs, aims and objectives. Key Duties 1.  Coordination, direction and direct management Assist C&E Campaign Team Leader to manage, coordinate and direct the broad workload of investigations, market research and mapping of employees and contractors in Indonesia. 2.  Information gathering and analysis Conduct, analyze and provide intelligence gathering and analysis in accordance to Greenpeace Campaign strategies and in line with Greenpeace risk management as well as ethical guidelines in order to enable effective campaigning across Greenpeace. 3.  Risk Management With Campaign Team Leaders, evaluate and assess campaign project requirements for intelligence gathering in accordance to Greenpeace guidelines regarding intelligence gathering risk management to ensure identification, assessment and amelioration of the multiple risk factors involved. Advise the Climate and Energy Campaign Team Leader on the feasibility of requirements in doing campaign intelligence operations by cost/benefit analysis. 4.  Information Management Develop standard information reporting policies and procedures for field research operators to ensure consistent process of gathering, organization and dissemination of qualified information as well as disseminated across Greenpeace. Also ensuring that expertise and organizational knowledge is developed, maintained and shared. 5.  Development of Best Practices Proactively identify, develop and acquire the expertise for effective information gathering operations within Greenpeace in order to disseminate best practices across Greenpeace campaigns and improve the capacity for Greenpeace to operate consistently successful campaigns. 6.  Campaign Evaluation Evaluate the influence and effectiveness of researches and investigations in achieving campaign and/or project aims as an ongoing basis. Continuously develop the research capacity to deliver innovative, effective, relevant and timely intelligence information to the Project Team as well as the overall organization. 7.  Campaign Planning Identify campaign opportunities and requirements for research during campaign planning process. Provide proactive intelligence gathering to support campaign strategies and objectives. Inform political and business research and lobbying initiatives. 8.  Research unit and project team membership Work effectively and flexibly with various situations and individuals. Be able to adapt and work cooperatively, while at the same time assuming multiple concurrent responsibilities as required by Indonesian C&E Campaign Team Leader. 9.  Performance other duties as directed by the line manager Educational Background & Fundamental Qualifications 1. Level of Education:     Bachelor’s Degree with experience is welcome to apply but Master Degree preferred (or equivalent experience)   2. Field of Study:     Arts, economic or science degree, or equivalent experience working in climate and energy-related issues   3. Work Experience:     Minimum of 2-5 years of campaigning experience in Southeast Asia and/or for climate and energy-related issues, and    demonstrated experience in an environmental/activist organization
