DESKRIPSI PEKERJAAN Responsibilities: The Fundraising Associates work to contact potential supporters in the community to raise money, gain commitment to TNC’s vision and mobilize action to achieve ecological sustainability. They generate funds through the face to face fundraising technique. Communicate effectively to donors/sponsors regarding TNC’s activities, as trained during the induction process Requirements: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree with direct sales experience (ideally in regular giving) or equivalent combination Excellent direct sales skills Experience liaising with people at all levels Excellent communication and persuasion skills Proven record of achieving financial targets and KPIs. (goal oriented) Passionate in environment and conservation issues
DESKRIPSI PEKERJAAN The Development Director works towards meeting the strategic priorities of the program by conceiving, developing, and managing plans and strategies. S/he focuses on long-range strategic priorities, and establishes and monitors activity level benchmarks and measures of success. S/he serves as the primary owner for business processes and guidelines related to the work of the teams under his/her supervision. S/he manages the development and implementation of a strategic, integrated, and collaborative approach to maximize success, including organizing communications. S/he facilitates strategic dialogues with clients and senior-level stakeholders, probing to identify key issues and requirements, negotiating and developing solutions, and synthesizing a plan of action tailored to audience. S/he directs diverse activities, develop complex practices and processes, project outcomes, and initiate changes in order to improve effectiveness. The Development Director focuses fundraising efforts in: Corporate Engagement The Development Director is responsible to identify funding opportunities, develop collaborations with the private sector (in the form of corporate philanthropy, partnerships and practices) and manage these programs for success and further replication. S/he creates and implements strategies for cultivation, solicitation and closure, as well as set and achieve annual targets and goals. This position includes both external and internal aspects, managing a portfolio of corporate prospects and directing key aspects of corporate relations. S/he supervises the Corporate Engagement Associate Director. Private Philanthropy The Development Director is responsible for a portfolio of qualified donors and building strong relationships. Her/his responsibility includes increasing funding from high net-worth individuals through effective identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship. S/he understands and applies complex principles of developing donor strategies and builds strong relationships with a portfolio of new donors and prospects. The Development Director provides opportunities for donors to receive recognition and increase future giving. S/he involves and engages appropriate partners in the field and at the Worldwide Office, keeping them apprised of interactions, issues and/or concerns, and addresses questions as needed. S/he is capable of featuring the programs in detailed terms and can confidently discuss legacy giving opportunities. S/he is required to develop proposals. The Development Director develops and manages resources and budget of the philanthropy department and ensure efficient and effective use of the approved budget. S/he supervises the Philanthropy Associate Directors. Membership Program The Development Director is responsible for the strategic/program development and implementation of the Membership Program. S/he designs the long and short range business goals and objectives, provides strategy and insight to hit membership targets whilst considering dynamic business needs, resource capacity and their interdependencies. S/he ensures successful implementation of the program with regards to acquisition, retention and cultivation efforts of all regular and one-off donors across all channels, while maintaining an acceptable level of quality and solid return on investment. S/he supervises the Membership Manager. Public Funding The Development Director works to effectively engage governmental entities as well as development missions represented in Indonesia to further TNC’s mission of preserving biological diversity for the benefit of both people and nature. S/he holds public fund raising activity to increase the level of financial support for TNC projects and priorities. For this purpose, s/he develop strategies for key public agencies and write/submit proposals as necessary. S/he supervises Program Policy Senior Managers. The Development Director works closely with the Marketing and Communications team in overseeing all cause related marketing activities. S/he manages relations with key stakeholders including senior management, internal teams, and outside service providers to achieve program goals. The Development Director reports to the Country Director and is based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Qualifications: Master’s degree and at least 8 years related experience like Marketing and/or Fundraising, including experience working at a senior level. Experience with business development, banking, corporate social responsibility or corporate sustainability. Knowledge on environment issues Experience building and maintaining long-term relationships with fundraising constituents such as major donors and corporations. Experience preparing and presenting project proposals and negotiating complex high profile or sensitive agreements. Experience in conceiving, developing, and managing multiple projects and strategic goals. Experience in planning and delivering budgetary responsibilities. Experience managing and supervising a multidisciplinary team. Experience working in a large, complex, not-for-profit environment. Experience, coursework, or other training in principles, practices, and procedures of relevant field.
